The Silver Birch Band (Live) (2010)
This was my project for ‘John Cage: Musicircus Day’ in 2010.
I installed two electric guitars and an amplifier in the Hidden Gardens, Tramway, Glasgow on a windy day.
Both guitars had objects and sticks hanging in front of their strings, and these objects were connected with fishing lines tethered to the silver birch trees behind ‘the band’.
As the wind blew the trees played the guitars.
