Great to be invited by Glen Coutts to make a Presentation at the University of Lapland and to work with him and his students on the Master’s Degree Programme in Arctic Art and Design.

As well as presenting an artist’s talk (titled Socially Engaged Art: a personal perspective) at the Reflections & Visions Seminar, I also had the opportunity to show the film Clyde Reflections (33mins, 2014).

The following day, the Master’s students, who worked in collaborative groups, presented some very imaginative and well-developed projects based around the theme ‘In Transit’. These projects created interventions and experiences within the urban and natural environments of Rovaniemi, with an awareness of social, cultural and technological issues and possibilities, and with a focus on sustainable practices.
